4 Signs You May Need a New HVAC System
If you are like most homeowners, you probably do not give your heating and cooling system much thought until it breaks down. As one of the biggest investments you will make in your Indio, CA, home, you want to keep your system running as long as possible. However, these four signs could indicate that it may be time for a new HVAC system.
1. Your HVAC System is Old
HVAC systems that are well-maintained may last up to 15 years, maybe longer. Eventually, parts wear out and become more difficult and expensive to obtain. If your system is more than 15 years old or close to that age, a new system could be a wiser investment than repairing.
2. Your System Needs an Expensive Repair
Throughout your HVAC equipment’s lifespan, you can expect a few repairs. However, if your system has developed leaks or needs major parts like a compressor, your money might be better spent on a new system.
3. Your Utility Bills Keep Increasing
Systems that were manufactured a decade or more ago are much less efficient than today’s HVAC systems. As heating and cooling equipment gets older, it becomes less energy efficient, and you will see your utility bills go up. A new, energy-efficient system will help keep your utility costs in check and could lower them by 20% or more.
4. Temperatures Are Uneven Throughout Your Home
Does it seem like some parts of your home are cooler or warmer than others? It could be a sign that your older HVAC system cannot keep up anymore. Replacing your system now will help ensure that your entire home is kept comfortable.
If you said yes to any of these four signs, it may be time to consider replacing your HVAC system. In the Indio, CA, area, contact All Knight Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. to schedule an appointment for a new HVAC system consultation.
